*This* is why I subscribed to Twitter.  Not so that I can tweet, but so that I can follow awesome sci-fi actors.

Oh, and David Hewlett said in one of his tweets that he "wanted to call Flanigan to tell him all the stuff I ate on set today".  Oh, to hang with Hewlett and Flanigan...............fangirl squee to the nth degree.

I'm on LJ every day.  No, really.  *Every* day.  But I never seem to post because I really am not as interesting as you nice folk.  Anyway, I read this and initially went "phhhhhfffffttttt", but the more I think about it, maybe it's OK after all.  Syfy is moving its Friday night shows.  (And I'll put my two cents in and say when it comes to SGU..........WHO CARES????)  I'm mainly posting this for my Sanctuary buddies out there.

**back to lurking**

I'll be back............sometime.  Maybe.

Snatched from Gateworld:

"TV by the Numbers has also posted an interesting break-down of Syfy’s top four scripted shows in 2009, and how interest in them breaks down by gender and age demographics.  Their conclusion?  SGU is “Syfy’s most popular show with young men 18-34 in Live+SD viewing. … But with women 18-49, and 18-34, SGU was the worst-performing of the four scripted Syfy shows that ranked in the top 50″ for all of basic cable."

Well, duh, people.  I could say something really snarky here and offend people.  Ah, what the hell............female sci-fi fans are very intelligent and are not falling for this drivel you call dark, sci-fi Stargate.  Men will fall for anything that has sex every week and lots of angry people.  There.  I said it.

The article goes on to say that SGU has 50% more viewers than the last season of Atlantis.  Don't even get me started on that one.

I'm not sure I understand the web series Riese.  I *know* I don't understand Steampunk, but man, is it everywhere at Dragoncon.  What I *do* know is that I'm impatiently waiting for Ryan Robbins to show up in an episode of this dang webshow.

Riese is on Youtube and currently has 5 episodes available.  I think I'm too shallow to get it.

The things I do for my fave sci-fi guys ("Family Album" ring a bell for any of you Joe Flanigan fans?  Ouch.)

Ok, so everyone knows that Patrick Stewart was knighted recently.  If you didn't, then I just ruined the surprise.  Having seen his one-man show in the early 90's of A Christmas Carol (front row and next to his brother, no less!), and having met him this past fall at Dragoncon, I have to say, this man has more class in his pinkie toe than some dudes have in their whole loser body.  Patrick,  I  <3  U!!

I'm ashamed to say my status 98% of the time would fall into the "lurker" category for a number of reasons, the most important of which is that I never have anything exciting to write about in my fangirl life, and number two, who has time after being a doctor/wife/mommy all dang day?

Anyway, cadencecascade mentioned in her LJ what she had accomplished this year and what lay ahead and I thought that was a pretty nifty idea.

Ramblings of a fangirlCollapse )So how was 2009 for you?  What do you wanna do in 2010?  And bad New Year's resolutions don't count.  Hell, we all wanna lose weight, eat better, and make more money.  =)

They kept talking about this on the radio. My co-workers kept talking about it. Finally, I decided to look the damn thing up myself and about fell out of my chair with laughter. Enjoy. (Sorry I couldn't embed it. Muppet Studios turned that function off.)

Yesterday was the 8th anniversary of George Harrison's death. I cannot say how much I love this man and all that I have learned from him. After surfing the net, I found a photo shoot his son did last year. Now, we all know what Julian Lennon looks like, and Sean too. You might have even seen Stella McCartney at one of her fashion shows. But nothing compares to Dhani Harrison. His intellect, his talent, and no doubt he is his father's son. Take a peek at how much...........

I love you, George.
